If you are a talented Cost Accountant looking for a position with a company experiencing substantial growth, this may be the role for you.For immediate consideration at Cost Accountant, candidates can reach out directly to Robert LePage at 508-205-2123.Responsibilities- Estimate new and proposed product costs- Review changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost- Execute standardized costing methodology for all domestic plants- Conduct variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services- Interpret data collected and record detailed results- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs- Create internal cost audits- Monitor the cycle count program and conduct physical inventories- Develop and support the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization- Generate financial statements that comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)- Decide costs of business activity, including raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste- Support audits and general ledger preparation- Recommend costs and cost savings based on analysis
