The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This position will also work with the VP of Finance and Administration to set department objectives, deliver services, continuously look for improvements and efficiencies, and manage results through his/her team members. This position is responsible for providing accurate financials, reconcilements, assigned projects, and mentoring team members as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
1. Supervise the accounts payable and receivable personnel, assisting with collections as necessary, recording receipts, and ensuring payments to vendors and team member reimbursements are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
2. Provide support for account reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger processing and general accounting, such as fixed assets, accruals, etc.
3. Assign, direct, coordinate and review work performed by department team members.
4. Assist in maintaining internal control structure and SOX compliance.
5. Use inventory management and accounting systems to investigate and solve issues.
6. Develop accounting team members to their highest potential by identifying areas for improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting employees’ performance.
7. Train and supervise department staff to maximize productivity and efficiency.
8. Proactively communicate with sales, operations and marketing for escalated accounting issues on a daily/weekly basis.
EDUCATION: A minimum of an associate degree in an accounting or finance related field is required.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years general accounting/finance experience required. Experience in a supervisory/management position is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Must occasionally be able to move/lift boxes weighing up to 20lbs. Other physical efforts may include but not limited to carrying weight, lifting, seeing, hearing, talking, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, repetitive motion/dexterity, and other physical requirements as required by the position.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Due to the environment, working conditions may include but not limited to exposure to chemicals, regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, spills, fumes, and noise.
HOURS OF WORK: Full-time, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday during normal operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
