We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Energy Savings Cost Analyst to join our team. As the Energy Savings Cost Analyst, you will play a key role in assessing and quantifying the financial impact of energy efficiency measures, ensuring accurate cost analysis, and providing valuable insights for our clients.

Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for proposed energy efficiency projects, including equipment costs, installation expenses, and ongoing operational expenses.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to obtain accurate and up-to-date cost estimates.
- Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain financial models to project the economic feasibility of energy efficiency initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Quantification of Savings:
- Assess and quantify potential energy savings resulting from proposed efficiency measures.
- Work closely with technical teams to understand the operational impact of energy-saving technologies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts related to energy efficiency projects.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
- Client Collaboration:
- Engage with clients to understand their financial goals and constraints related to energy efficiency projects.
- Communicate complex cost information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports outlining cost estimates, financial projections, and potential return on investment for clients.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all cost-related aspects of energy efficiency projects.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in cost estimation and financial modeling.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in cost structures related to energy efficiency technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a cost analyst or in a similar financial analysis role.
- Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in spreadsheet software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency concepts and technologies is advantageous.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting for projects is desirable.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to achieve common financial goals.
- Proficiency in developing and/or implementing data collection, tracking, and reporting processes (i.e., customer relationship management)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining multiple deadlines.
