Cost Accountant jobs in Arizona

We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant, to support Cost Accounting team at our Arizona manufacturing plant. This individual will be responsible for supporting cost accounting Sr Manager in the area of manufacturing variance & cost analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory valuation. This role is highly cross-functional and requires collaboration and significant partnership with a wide variety of teams across the business including IT, operations, logistics, manufacturing and purchasing.

The Role: • Standard Cost set up in SAP. evaluate operational cost and review planned vs actual costs to identify variances. • Support Purchase Price Variance & production variance analysis. • Partner with operations in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain to understand products costs and variance drivers. • Ensure updates and related supporting documentation are prepared in compliance with Company’s policies and in accordance with U.S. GAAP. • Partner closely with key internal stakeholders (i.e., PLM, supply chain, logistics, production, FP&A, IT etc.) to streamline workflows.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • Working knowledge of SAP or related manufacturing systems • Strong Excel skills with ability to work with large volume data • Minimum 2 years in a cost accounting role preferable in a manufacturing

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $57.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
