Corporate Insurance Manager manages an organization's overall insurance programs. Analyzes insurance needs by identifying risk exposures and analyzing and classifying risks to provide optimum coverage, costs and claim settlements. Being an Corporate Insurance Manager conducts regular policy reviews, research and compile loss trends, review actuarial estimations. Administers systems to collect data and generate meaningful models and reporting to support decisions. Additionally, Corporate Insurance Manager coordinates policy renewals and applications. May administer self- insured plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Insurance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Corporate Insurance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities: · Work with Risk Management operations to synergize Loss Prevention services to better serve our clients · Direct Loss Prevention Advisors to ensure clients focus plans and services are being completed · Manage, evaluate as well as support and guide the development of all staff. · Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment. · Provide ongoing feedback/assessments of the consultant’s work product and or training delivery and document · Keep up to date on any regulation and or standard changes and develop necessary trainings and education to allow our clients to adhere to these. · Assess the need for future training offerings beyond our scope · Keep updated lists of trainings we don’t offer and develop referral relationships for our clients. · Streamline processes to enable Advisors to work more efficiently, allowing a better customer service experience with clients and colleagues · Work in collaboration with Risk Management’s Sales and Marketing Services team to ensure robust and flawless execution for seminars and webinars · Keep informed regarding industry information and changes to continuously improve knowledge and performance. · Develop positive working relationships with clients and company personnel, with a goal of exceeding expectations. · Work as a team with other staff members to achieve production and agency goals. · Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, email, and regular interpersonal communication. · Perform Loss Prevention advisor duties as defined below Loss prevention advisor duties: · Compete all needed focus plan work · Inspect operations at job sites and company locations to evaluate physical conditions, safety practices, and hazardous situations. · Prepare written report of findings and recommendations for correction of unsafe conditions. · Develop, implement, and monitor activities and programs, in conjunction with the insured, to abate or minimize safety hazards · Support client’s by aiding in accident investigation. · Consult and advice clients on VOSHA/OSHA citation process, in an effort to mitigate hazards as well as mitigate penalties. · Complete training as needed at respective client’s · Reviews client’s safety policy and procedures and aid in revision and/or development of respective policy and procedures. Qualifications: Candidates should have bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ experience; however, appropriate experience may be substituted.
