Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Director of Annual Giving

  • Objective: To lead the annual fund program and collaborate with the Associate Head of School for Advancement and Community Relations and Director of Development on the philanthropy efforts including annual giving, major gifts, and capital gifts.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Research, generate, and implement ideas to increase annual fund giving and solicit donors for the annual fund.
    • Establish and build relationships, steward, cultivate, and engage with donors for sustainable annual giving to include in-person visits, phone conversations, and emails.
    • Plan, organize, and implement all annual fund events.
    • Collaborate with the donor relations manager to provide various reports in Raiser’s Edge related to benchmarking, goal setting, and reporting.
    • Identify donors for potential increased giving levels, including 1947 and potential major gift and campaign donors, and oversee moves management in conjunction with the Director of Development and Donor Relations Associate.
    • Plan and execute the annual Blitz Week with St. Andrew’s families, alumni, and trustees.
    • Host cultivation events throughout the Annual Fund year for donors and volunteers.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop printed and digital materials.
    • Assist with the annual report on philanthropy.
    • Stay current on trends in independent school fundraising.
    • Take an active role in professional activities and attend relevant professional meetings and conferences.

    Work Environment: This job operates in a professional school environment.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, twelve-month position. Limited travel and occasional weekend and evening work will be required.

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • A minimum of three years of development experience required with demonstrated skills in direct, in-person solicitations.
    • Proven success at networking and relationship building.
    • Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or relational database experience preferred.
    • Ability to write, proofread, and edit copy.
    • Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, administrators, parents, alumni, and guests.
    • Professional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • High degree of cultural competence and demonstrated commitment to working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects efficiently and effectively without constant supervision.
    • Proficiency in Google Suite required.
