Corporate Giving Director jobs in Colorado

Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Description

    Foothills Animal Shelter seeks a director of leadership giving who is committed to advancing the mission and vision of Foothills Animal Shelter and excited to engage in the transformative work of animal welfare. This will be a one-half to three-quarters time position working 20-30 hours per week.

    As an open admission shelter, we are committed to being here for families and their pets in Jefferson County, Colorado. We identify as a socially conscious shelter, caring for more than 9,000 dogs, cats, and small animals every year with a compassionate team of staff and volunteers who are committed to the physical and emotional wellbeing of every pet we serve. We employ 75 staff, are supported by 300 volunteers, and have a $6.6 million operating budget for 2024.

    What You’ll Do

    • Champion the Shelter’s efforts to build a more sustainable future for animals by raising critical funds in support of our mission.
    • Engage prospective donors and sponsors with the mission of Foothills Animal Shelter by connecting them with the positive impact our work has on animals and people.
    • Manage and continuously build a portfolio of individual donors and corporate sponsors to be stewarded by you and the executive director.
    • Create and implement a legacy giving program and provide stewardship for those individuals who have questions or interest in establishing legacy gifts.
    • Conduct facility tours with donor prospects, current donors, and businesses.
