Corporate Giving Director jobs in Alabama

Corporate Giving Director identifies and assesses the causes and organizations that align with the company's values and goals and implements strategic plans to support them. Establishes and maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations and community leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support of giving initiatives. Being a Corporate Giving Director manages the budget for charitable giving, evaluates grant proposals, and monitors the impact of the company's charitable contributions. Develops employee volunteer programs to engage employees, offer participation to wider audience, and raise awareness about the organization's charitable initiatives. Additionally, Corporate Giving Director maintains current knowledge of best practices in corporate giving and philanthropy. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Giving Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Giving Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

    Department Summary: The Assistant Director Planned Giving serves as the principal administrator for all planned gifts to The University of Alabama including numerous multi-million dollar estate gifts to UA. This position handles estate administration and has the responsibility to create personalized gift illustrations for advisors and donors.

    Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; OR master's degree.


    Skills and Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Ability to understand and communicate complex planned giving and estate concepts and gift options with donors and financial advisors.

    Diplomacy and good interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications: At least three years of experience in business, financial planning, law or other related environment.
