Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist supports and coordinates the activities of the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Assists with the delivery and maintenance of programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist prepares materials that communicate the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Supports or delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist generates reports of compliance monitoring statistics, investigations, outcomes, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. May administer reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and/or expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. Scope This position assists in maintaining an effective US GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS-RELATED compliance and ethics program. This entails documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes, assistance with and awareness of training and related communications, and assistance with and documentation of independent internal reviews.Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities • Assist in the preparation of compliance management plans, compliance schedules, and reports • Assist in performance of compliance reviews and follow up on findings and corrective actions • Assist in ensuring all business unit employees understand and comply with federal contracting requirements as well as company policies and practices • Support development and delivery of compliance training • Promote an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance • Assist in preventing and detecting ethical and criminal misconduct • Research special topics • Assist in administration of an effective government compliance communication program including writing articles • Assess risk of noncompliance with federal laws and regulations • Perform compliance reviews and follow up on findings and corrective actions • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines • As part of multi-functional teams, provide guidance on government compliance issues • Analyze proposed, interim, and final procurement rules for impact on the company • Research special topics in federal contracting to support resolution of issues that may arise in execution of the Government Group’s federal contracts • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job • May need to travel to attend to business related matters • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality • Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner - Ability to perform all duties independently, with modest oversight and direction Working Conditions • Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or; • Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levelsPreferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as intermediate to expert use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations • Good interpersonal, writing, and communication skills • Certification as a compliance and ethics professional from a professional industry association promoting the advancement of corporate compliance and ethics OR EXPERIENCE PERFORMING DUTIES AS AN ETHICS ADVISOR WORKING IN AN AGENCY OR DEPARTMENT OF THE US GOVERNMENTOther Job Duties & Responsibilities • Participate in Fluor University for training and career development • Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
