Corporate Ethics & Compliance Manager oversees and promotes the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Implements programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Corporate Ethics & Compliance Manager communicates the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Corporate Ethics & Compliance Manager conducts compliance monitoring, investigations, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. Manages the administration of confidential reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Ethics & Compliance Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Corporate Ethics & Compliance Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     POSITION OVERVIEW

    Provide strategic leadership and expertise to Ethics & Compliance team. This position works with the Snr Director Enterprise Compliance and ensures the management, implementation, co-ordination and consistent compliance practices on a Global basis for all Ethics & Compliance matters. Position requires ability to manage, lead, influence, build consensus and drive improvements across the organization.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Directs, manages, creates, designs, develops and enhances McCormick’s Ethics & Compliance programs by working closely with Legal, Internal Audit and each Global Managing Director /General Manager/Leader to implement and ensure Compliance for each McCormick facility.
    • Manage Global scope of FCPA(Bribery), Business Ethics, Hotline, Competition Law, Corporate Criminal Offence Law, CTPAT (Supply Chain Security), Food Safety, FDA, Data Privacy, hazmat/dangerous goods, ad hoc projects, and auditing for travel and expense insights for all Reach locations
    • Manage Ethics and Compliance team to reduce global risk exposure from violations and penalties for McCormick’s Ethics/ FCPA/and Hazardous materials compliance, through training, audits, risk assessment, due diligence.
    • Responsible for the Global analysis of Extracts, Flavouring, Liquids, Electronics, and other food items and Global maintenance of dangerous goods Classifications, providing guidance, knowledge of International transportation regulations, compliance with FDA and the Bioterrorism laws for McCormick facilities, including documentation, reading and interpreting global Laws and related activities as well as maintaining communications with Legal and government agencies as required globally. Manages the Ethics & Compliance Team (Risk Team, Auditing team and Hazardous Materials team) based in Lodz and U.S.
    • Manages Teams development Plans, Goals and participates in Global Legal Talent Reviews

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business; Engineering ;Food science or other related function
    • Compliance, Business /Ethics, Certified auditor/Technical certification

      Hazardous materials certification

    • Compliance, Business /Ethics, Certified auditor/Technical certification

      Hazardous materials certification

    • Experience with leading a Global team
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Ability to maintain strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Compliance, Business /Ethics, Certified auditor/Technical certification/Hazardous materials certification preferred
