Corporate Construction Manager oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Construction Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team.

    This Project Manager will be able to manage several heavy concrete jobs in multiple locations around the Tennessee Valley area while working out of our Huntsville, AL or Columbus, MS office. The successful candidate will have 5 to 10 years’ experience in the industrial market, a strong background in project management and experience working with concrete and complex concrete placements.

    This Project Manager will be required to:

    • Review plans, specifications, and client requirements
    • Initiate RFIs to resolve issues in the field and plan discrepancies
    • Process, review, and track submittals
    • Review design and shop drawings to evaluate the impact on the cost and schedule
    • Prepare Subcontractor scope of work letters
    • Initiate change orders to the Owner and solicit bids from Subcontractors
    • Maintain procurement, submittal, and RFI logs
    • Manage labor resources
    • Provide schedule assistance and track daily production
    • Coordinate correspondence between the design and construction team

    The Successful Applicant will also have:

    • 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager or similar
    • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management desired but could be replaced with experience
    • Computer literate with the ability to become proficient with software such as Primavera, Procore and MS Project or experience with such
    • Excellent written skills
