Corporate Construction Manager oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Construction Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Purpose and Overview

    As the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at Dawn, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing Dawn's external image through strategic communication initiatives. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Global Brand and Communications, you will be responsible for managing the ongoing development and implementation of Dawn's corporate communications strategy. Your primary focus will be on elevating Dawn's external presence, ensuring consistent corporate messaging, and driving positive media coverage. This position requires an experienced communications professional who can lead diverse tasks, provide counsel and support to executives, collaborate with internal teams, and elevate Dawn's public relations approach and associated processes.

    This is a hybrid position reporting to the home office location in Jackson, Michigan. The successful candidate for this role will be expected to work on-site for 2 days per week, and on an as needed basis, with up to 10% travel.

    What will you do as a Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications at Dawn Foods?

    • Establish and nurture media relationships within and outside of the baking industry.
    • Craft and distribute corporate press releases.
    • Create and implement consistent executive visibility program.
    • Create media training program and ongoing education and support for executive and regional teams.
    • Manage and audit of global corporate messaging.
    • Master corporate messaging management and refinement
    • Evolve and manage internal PR processes.
    • Partner with Global People & Culture and Corporate Giving leaders to establish program messaging. Bring messaging to life in partnership with Global Brand Manager
    • Lead executive story mining activity to identify opportunities for earned media.
    • Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry associations and functional outlets.
    • Support corporate strategic announcements.
    • Manage requests for executive participation in editorial opportunities and events, including amplification efforts.
    • Ongoing tracking and reporting of earned media activity, including global newsletter.
    • Co-management of global communications hub
    • Partner with brand team and People team members on recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts to ensure brand alignment and identify deeper opportunities for brand engagement.
    • Internal PR process evolution and management
    • Other communications duties as assigned.
    • Demonstrate the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and support the Dawn Circle of Excellence.

    What Does It Take to be Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications at Dawn Foods?

    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field and 7 years of relevant work experience or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
    • Strong understanding of and proven skills in media relations, crisis communications, internal communications, and change management.
    • Proven record of developing and implementing communications strategies
    • Excellent self-leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and coach others effectively, persuasively, and tactfully.
    • Understanding of messaging development and experience gaining cross-functional and leadership alignment
    • Excellent writing and editing skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, and ensuring deadline and budget adherence.
    • Ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written communication.
    • Proven performance working in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
