We currently have an opening for a Compliance Specialist. The best candidate is a motivated self-starter, with a positive can-do attitude who will assist the Director of Compliance and on-site team members in keeping their certifications up to date and compliant with current regulations . We offer:
*5.539 hours of PTO earned every 2 weeks after a full 80 hour pay period. This totals 144 Hours or 18 days of PTO per year with the ability to carry over up to 80 hours a year. Increased PTO after 6 and 9 consecutive years with Allied Residential. **Different for part-time employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Review new move-in, interim certification and annual recertification files to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.- Communicate with onsite staff regarding discrepancies / deficiencies noted within certification files
- Prepare and distribute monthly annual recertification lists and notices
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports as required by City, County and State Funders
- Respond to Compliance audits as assigned
- Prepare and submit monthly TRACS submission for HUD sites
- Prepare monthly Compliance reports for financial statements
- Prepare and distribute weekly status reports to onsite staff and Portfolio Managers regarding the status of all open files
- Travel to and provide on site training to current team members, as needed
- Travel to and provide on site assistance with compliance documentation, as needed.
- Assist the Director of Compliance with various tasks, as assigned
- Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings, as assigned
Preferred Proficiencies:
Experience with Yardi Voyager preferred- Experience with WBARS preferred
- Experience with Enterprise Income Verification system preferred
- Experience with HUD regulations, as outlined in the HUD Handbook 4305.3
- Minimum average typing speed of 50 WPM
Qualifications:

Experience – Must have base knowledge of Low Housing Income Tax Credit regulations, and all policies enforced by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission- Math Ability - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Computer Skills - Must have solid understanding and high level of proficiency with Microsoft’s Office Suite/Office 365, primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word. Must be proficient with remote work platforms, including but not limited to smart phones, VPN or other remote access, and online security best practices. Working knowledge of industry-specific platforms, such as Yard or RealPage is highly preferred
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Attention to Detail - Must have high attention to detail / detail-oriented

Noise Level – Typical office environment within Allied’s corporate office, but moderate to higher levels may be encountered elsewhere, such as visiting a property to observe progress of a construction project
