Laredo Medical Center’s 326 bed acute care hospital is seeking a Facility Compliance/Privacy Officer. The Facility Compliance Officer ("FCO") is designated at each CHS affiliated hospital to facilitate the implementation, oversight, and ongoing operation of the Corporate Compliance Program. The FCO will ensure his or her facility's compliance program responsibilities are met and the program adequately addresses the individual concerns of the facility and all CHS affiliated entities and agencies ("affiliates"). The FCO will be appointed by the Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of the facility in consultation with the CCO or assigned Corporate Compliance Director(s). The FCO will report directly to the CHS affiliated hospital CEO for purposes of performance evaluations and compensation reviews and will report to the CEO and to the CCO in the fulfillment of his or her compliance responsibilities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Business or related area required.
Preferred: Master's degree.
Experience:
Requires a highly self motivated and professional independent worker who is able to develop and keep to own schedule, is able to prioritize assignments and design programs to meet the facilities
* 2-3 years experience in compliance function
* Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills required.
Licenses / Certificates:
Preferred: Certification in Compliance.
