Corporate Compliance Director manages the compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices for an organization or business. Ensures that all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as any industry-specific or location-specific laws. Being a Corporate Compliance Director oversees internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes. Implements risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Additionally, Corporate Compliance Director evaluates and implements changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations. Delivers communication and training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Compliance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Compliance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary

    Responsible for leading the Corporate planning process across Vistra and helping to identify and implement processes that enhance the company's ability to plan for and manage the company on an integrated basis. Leads cross-functional teams and a team of analysts that work closely with business units and other functional groups to build an understanding of Vistra's business model across a broad range of market scenarios through activities such as long-term planning of key business and financial drivers, scenario modeling, cost management and business case evaluations.

    Key Accountabilities:

    *Leads coordination of integrated business/financial plan across Vistra including
    -Development of and execution of global planning process, including planning calendar / timeline, related templates for forecasting activities, output / analysis, and presentation development
    -Development and distribution of global planning assumptions
    -Coordination and testing inputs from business, treasury, tax, and other
    -Development of five-year financial plan and related forecasts of key business drivers, liquidity, debt and other financial statement metrics
    *Participates in business development activities(e.g., mergers, acquisitions, alliances, and divestitures)that are consistent with Vistra strategies
    *Develops a team of analysts to be proficient in subject matter / business unit knowledge as well as planning processes
    *Leads /participates in ad-hoc, focused projects as needed on a variety of initiatives that cross multiple business units and functional groups
    *Leads problem solving efforts on complex, emerging operational and strategic issues, including evaluating the financial impact of various financial and transactional alternatives
    *Responsible for the Corporate Planning Model


    Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements:

    *7 years of relevant business experience in strategy, finance or treasury position
    *Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or other related analytical discipline
    *7years of experience in the competitive energy industry (power, natural gas), other deregulated markets, or traditional utility with competitive subsidiaries
    *Management experience with matrix responsibilities
    *Experience in ERCOT wholesale or retail power markets a plus
    *Experience with a planning tool, preferably Planful and SAC
    *Strong modeling skills

    Key Metrics:

    *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on issue identification, structuring and creativity
    *Ability to interpret financial statements, ratios, etc. and make business recommendations accordingly
    *Strong quantitative skills and business acumen including familiarity with IRR, ROI, and NPV analyses
    *Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, including presentations to executive management
    *Ability to simultaneously balance multiple priorities, projects and tasks, and work effectively across multiple organization levels and business group cultures
    *Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplined, cross-functional and collaborative team environment.
