Corporate Compliance Director manages the compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices for an organization or business. Ensures that all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as any industry-specific or location-specific laws. Being a Corporate Compliance Director oversees internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes. Implements risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Additionally, Corporate Compliance Director evaluates and implements changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations. Delivers communication and training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Corporate Compliance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Corporate Compliance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Responsibilities

    The Analyst - Corporate Compliance position reports to the Corporate Compliance Program Manager for Avangrid, Inc.
    This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the field of Corporate Compliance and Ethics with a global energy company. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a team utilizing global best practices to support a nationally-recognized corporate governance, compliance and ethics program. This position will provide analytical and administrative support, as assigned by the Program Manager, with responsibility over time for supporting ongoing program operations and initiatives. Responsibilities will include administration of training and communications efforts, use of data collection tools and preparing reports for use by company leadership, reviews and reports for Avangrid’s third-party due diligence program, and other efforts to promote a culture of ethics and compliance based on the Avangrid Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

    Skills and Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience required. Individual should be willing to obtain and maintain certification in the field of corporate compliance.

    Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties.
