SR Technologies (SRT) is expanding and we're looking for a Digital Design Engineer to join our team! As a Digital Design Engineer at SRT you will design, simulate, and implement moderate Digital Designs with high quality and maximized simplicity.  

What you'll be doing:

• Designs, simulates and implements moderate digital design modules.  
• Receives instruction on specific objects.  
• Receives direction on complex problems and possible solutions.
• May assist with customer or official contacts and communications pertaining specific assignments or meetings.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor’s or master’s Degree (BSEE or MSEE) from four-year college or university or equivalent and 3 – 8 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Basic Digital Design and simulation.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Digital Design languages, preferably VHDL.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance.

Technical Depth & Breadth:

• Experience with several systems outlined below.
• Subject Matter Expert in at least one area or system outline below.
• Working knowledge of a number of other areas of specialization outline below.

Technical Competencies: 

• Software Defined Radios
• HDL Fundamentals
  1. Familiarity with VHDL is Preferred.
  2. Focus on FPGA/ASIC design.
• Digital Design Architectures.
• TFS, GIT Revision Control Tools
• Basic C, C Programming,
  1. Familiarity with TCL Scripting and Python
  2. Script writing to control synthesis and build tools
• Test Benches, Simulation, Automation, Debug
• Xilinx, Altera (Intel) FPGAs.
  1. Familiarity with the Ultra scale family of FPGAs.
• Digital and Analog Circuits
  1. Testing, debug and verification.
• Basic Network Technologies; Ethernet, TCP/IP
• Microelectronics Design
• Validation Testing
  1. Using JTAG debug with scripting.
• Design Documentation
  1. Use of VISIO, MS Office tools like word, excel etc.
• Software/Hardware implementation collaboration
  1. Work with Multidisciplinary teams.
  2. Support HW, Driver/Platform & SW teams.
• System Design to meet Requirements.
• System Performance Verification and Validation.
• Basic Modem Design SATCOM, wireless, cellular, & SDR.
• Basic Physical Layers e.g., GMR, WiMax, WiFi, Bluetooth – preferred.
