About the position

This is a rewarding long-term career opportunity to work with all levels of the Kiddie Academy Educational Child Care corporate team, as well as our franchisees as they make an impact in communities across the country. As the Copywriter you will write for our entire family of services, with content ranging from advertising to internal communications to PR. You will be responsible for crafting written materials for Kiddie Academy and work across disciplines to create an engaging copy in a wide range of formats including but not limited to, advertising, collateral materials, PR assets, video, digital, and social media. This position is based in our Corporate Office located in Abingdon, Maryland.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field
• At least 3 years’ experience copywriting for marketing/advertising communications
• Outstanding writing and grammar with refined proofreading and editing skills
• Excellent planning and project management skills
• Process driven but creative and innovative
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work collaboratively to achieve business objectives
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, work independently
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization
• Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
