The Arc Montgomery County has an exciting newly created position for a Copywriter who will provide support through the creation of editorial written communications that advance organizational visibility, strengthen support for the organization, and improve constituent engagement. This position requires professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, solid organization and time-management skills, strong written communication skills, the capacity to create mission-driven, meaningful messaging, and outstanding attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree plus one year of relevant professional experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant professional experience. Thirty relevant credit hours may be substituted for one year of experience.
• Experience in editorial writing and other communications, as well as solid proofreading skills.
• Demonstrated comprehensive proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of graphic design, layout, and publishing.
