Are you a talented and creative writer? Southland Christian Church is looking for a Copywriter to enhance our Communications Team! This role is more than just writing—it’s about advancing our mission to love God and love people through every word you craft. Through collaboration with Communications as well as other teams, you’ll step beyond traditional copywriting toward developing comprehensive copywriting and content strategies that align with and advance Southland’s mission.

• Master and maintain Southland’s voice, tone, culture, and brand across all messaging and platforms, ensuring a unified presence for the church in multiple locations.
• Work closely with the Communications team and other ministries to create, recommend, and produce relevant, impactful content. This includes writing, editing, and contributing to church-wide communication efforts.
• Develop and implement innovative content strategies that support and enhance Southland’s communication campaigns and initiatives, tailored to various audiences. Manage and edit content across diverse platforms like the website, social media, video scripts, and print materials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Southland's vision.
• Regularly analyze the performance of content, leveraging insights to refine and optimize future strategies. Stay informed about the latest trends, digital innovations, and best practices in church communications to keep Southland at the forefront of engaging content creation.
• Serve as a key resource for style and grammar guidance, supporting organization-wide communication needs. Collaborate with the Communications Team to explore and execute external marketing efforts, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive approach to Southland’s outreach and visibility.

• A strong belief in the mission, core values, and beliefs of Southland.
• A passion for using writing and communication strategies to advance the message of Jesus.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in content creation and implementation, with a preference for knowledge in Squarespace, Mailchimp, SEO, and understanding of analytics and audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, and overall communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and develop strong relationships with other team members and ministries.
• Time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines, and problem-solve quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
• A desire to grow, learn, and continuously improve.
• The ability to receive feedback and make necessary adjustments
