Monroe County Public Library is seeking an engaging, creative, and innovative librarian to develop initiatives, programs, and services in our unique and evolving digital creativity space.
Our popular Level Up Digital Creativity Space provides access to multiple audio and video studios, digitization equipment, 3D printers, and a variety of creativity software and hardware. As part of our Adult Services team, this position provides excellent patron-facing services and creates engaging programming to serve the imaginative needs of content creators in our community.
A strong candidate’s knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for technology will serve to lead the way in adopting and implementing new technologies and services, while engaging digital creativity staff in providing excellent customer service. The Community Librarian will also participate in community organizations, events, and initiatives, as well as staying abreast of current trends in technology and librarianship.
Requirements
Requires an MLS from an ALA accredited college or university. One year of related library experience required, and one year of working with community engagement, programming, and professional leadership is preferred. Indiana Public Library (LPL) Certification – Librarian Level 3 is required.

Full-Time (37.5 Hrs./Wk.).
Starting hourly wage begins at $21.37 | Compensation is commensurate with relevant experience/expertise.
