Cooking Class Assistant

The Cook’s Station is currently seeking a cooking class teaching assistant with exceptional customer service skills to assist Chefs with teaching classes. Qualified applicants should have at least some prior experience in customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities of Cooking Class Assistant:

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs related to menu items.
• Prepares the classroom for teaching and service.
• Assists the chef with preparation and production of the class.
• Serves alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Clean up and reset for the next class.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of station and teaching areas.

Required Skills/Abilities of Cooking Class Assistant:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent active listening skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer's needs.
• Ability to provide restaurant quality table service of meals.

Physical Requirements for Cooking Class Assistant:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the teaching kitchen.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
