Line Cook & Kitchen Prep

Basic Function

Prepare food in accordance with production requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Must adhere to Shell Island Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures
• Line Cook Responsibilities
• Prepare consistent quality food based on recipe MOP
• Operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Use proper rotation and labeling procedures
• Comply with schedule and attendance requirements
• Perform any job related duties as assigned
• Open availability, will require nights, weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time
• Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks

Skills

Must be able to speak English, maintain a professional appearance, carry, lift, chop, slice, dice, fry, boil, sauté, & grill. All Line Cook skills.

Education and Training

Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation procedures.

Experience

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience needed, and culinary training is a plus.

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift

Weekly day range:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only

Ability to Relocate:

• Wrightsville Beach, NC: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person
