Cooking Assistant jobs in Florida
Cooking Assistant prepares raw ingredients for use in recipes. Washes, chops, stores, and handles ingredients. Being a Cooking Assistant prepares portions of ingredients for workstations. May prepare sauces and garnishes or assist cook with basic recipes. Additionally, Cooking Assistant follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Cooking Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Description
Summer Cooking Camp Assistant to Lead Instructor. Do you love being around kids? Do you enjoy cooking? Do you have an aptitude, fun-loving personality, and incredible patience for teaching children? If so, Jax Cooking Studio in Jacksonville, FL, is looking for you! The person for this position will work 30 hour a week, M-F, from either 7 a.m.-1 p.m. or 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Assistant to Lead Chef for children's summer camp sessions.
- Ability to help teach children to cook with whole foods from scratch, following lead chef's directions.
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching or supervising children a plus.
- Love of cooking, a must!
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must possess patience and good communication skills.
- Fun, bubbly personality.
- Background check required.
- Reliable transportation a must.
