Requirements:

• Availability Monday-Friday (2-3 days per week)
• Must have reliable transportation (Car)
• Clean background check to work with schools
• Experience working with kids: i.e. summer camp counselor, retired teacher, etc.
• Experience cooking at home: i.e. you can cook basic meals (no formal or professional chef experience is required)

Expectations

• Each day, you will be paid for a 3.5 / 5-hour shift to teach two workshops at a site. ($25per hour) sites start at 2:00 pm-5:30 pm, including early arriving on-site, teaching, and cleanup.

Each workshop involves 1 instructor leading a group of 15-20 students who are elementary or middle school students in low-income areas. This is ONLY a part-time position working 2 -3 days this is not a good fit for someone who is looking for full-time work.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week

• Chef Teachers are responsible for purchasing groceries for their classes and are reimbursed within a week: Your first purchase will be around $150. Are you able to commit to purchasing the groceries and getting reimbursed within a week?
