Cooking Assistant prepares raw ingredients for use in recipes. Washes, chops, stores, and handles ingredients. Being a Cooking Assistant prepares portions of ingredients for workstations. May prepare sauces and garnishes or assist cook with basic recipes. Additionally, Cooking Assistant follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Cooking Assistant works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Each camp lasts 4-5 days three hours each day. (Times vary) Compensation is $420 - $450 depending on camp. We are hiring for multiple locations. We are looking for a committed teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will provide knowledge and instruction to students while also inspiring an interest in Cooking! The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging students with an ability to enthusiastically reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class, follow our lesson designs, and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be a dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development. Teachers need to be problem-solvers and proficient in classroom management.
