Being a Control & Instrument Engineer configures systems using PLC and HMI techniques. Models, tests, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions. Additionally, Control & Instrument Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Control & Instrument Engineer work is closely managed. Skills Desired: Familiar with Programmable Logical Controllers (PLC), Experience using MS SQL Server or other relational database programs like Oracle, or MySQL. Understanding of basics electrical and mechanical control systems. Cyber Security Experience/knowledge. ex: Fortinet, Nozomi Familiarity with thin client devices in an industrial setting is desirable. Experience using VMWare or other virtualization environments.
