Duties:
· Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
· Utilize software and spreadsheets to create detailed estimates by division
· Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses
· Research and analyze market trends to ensure competitive pricing
· Prepare bid proposals and negotiate contracts with clients
· Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make necessary adjustments to maintain budgetary control
· Collaborate with project managers, field crews, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate cost projections
Experience:
· Proven experience in construction estimating or related field
· Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
· Proficiency in using software and other estimating tools
· Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
