Contracts Administration Manager prepares and administers bids, proposals, and commercial and government contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Manages the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Manager negotiates with suppliers, partners, or customers. Ensures contracts are administered and monitored to maintain compliance with the terms of agreements. Additionally, Contracts Administration Manager has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Summary:
This position assists the Transportation group in managing multiple aspects of Sunoco’s relationship with our third-party carrier partners. This involves negotiating freight rates, demand planning for carrier usage and assisting in resolving outstanding financial issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Negotiate freight rates with third party carriers. Track freight rates and adjustments
· Track carrier incidents such as cross-drops and spills and report to HES group monthly
· Assist with collection of money owed to Sunoco because of incidents. Report monthly on current balances
· Provide freight rates for new business opportunities in Salesforce
· Work with Sales Reps on freight rates for prospective dealers
· Provide freight rates and carriers for ethanol and bio diesel movements
· Assist with holiday planning by determining additional carrier needs, days and shifts, for upcoming holidays.
· Update freight rates as needed for dealers whose actual load volumes are different than anticipated
· Sign up new carriers as needed in support of Sunoco’s expanding footprint
· Maintain solid working relationships with third party carriers
· Develop and maintain third party carrier scorecard for evaluating carrier performance
· Support Sunoco transmix business with carrier help as needed
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· 8 years of experience in the petroleum logistics field
· Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
· The ability to prioritize work requirements within tight, concurrent deadlines
· Travel is required in this position, ability to remotely cover emails/phone calls while traveling.
Preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics or related field
· Functional knowledge related to commercial petroleum operations including product supply and scheduling.
