Being a Content Specialist, Sr. organizes content in a way that makes sense/is most useful for target customers. Stays up-to-date on best practices and make recommendations for content strategy. Additionally, Content Specialist, Sr. analyzes content needs and studies content consumption data to optimize content. Identifies and tracks metrics to measure the success of content curation efforts. Develops a schedule for updates, archiving, and ongoing production of content. Requires a bachelor's degree. The Division of Strategic Partnerships at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Digital Content and Communications Specialist.
About the Opportunity
As an essential member of the Strategic Partnerships communications and marketing team, the Digital Content and Communications Specialist is responsible for executing digital content creation and communication efforts in support of multiple non-academic functions at the University. This individual will produce work for support units like Talent and Culture, Auxiliary and Business Services, Dining Services and other units.
This individual works closely with the assistant vice president for Strategic Partnerships, the senior digital experience designer for Strategic Partnerships, the senior marketing strategist for Strategic Partnerships and University Relations colleagues to create and execute messaging and website content that support the goals and objectives of the Strategic Partnerships function and WVU.
The Digital Content and Communications Specialist also serves as support for graphic design, photography, video production, social media management and other communication needs.
