Operating with integrity, openness, passion, and a spirit of service to fulfill Notre Dame's mission as a Catholic university, University Communications offers the experience and judgment to:
- Help shape, protect, and promote the University's reputation, and
- Build strategic partnerships with many stakeholders, including members of the Notre Dame family, government agencies, community partners, internal colleagues, the media, and others.
The University of Notre Dame's Strategic Content is part of University Communications and this unit seeks a versatile, self-starting content producer to help tell Notre Dame's stories across a variety of media. The Content Generalist researches and produces written and visual materials for various websites and social media channels, and provides insights into content performance.

In addition, this role will occasionally edit episodes of the Notre Dame Stories podcast, as well as develop visual content (photos/videos) for Notre Dame social media channels. Depending on the skill set of the successful candidate, the Content Generalist may also serve as a back-up administrator to University social media accounts.
Content AnalysisIn addition, the Content Generalist will provide insights based on analytics of content performance. This includes synthesizing data from social media platforms and traditional websites to provide intelligence on content engagement trends.
Candidates should include links to their work (articles, social media posts, other content) in their cover letter.
The Strategic Content team creates digital experiences that inform the general public, campus community, alumni, parents, and the news media of the University's strategic priorities (faith, teaching, research, internationalization, diversity), and the work being done to achieve them. Housed organizationally within the Office of Public Affairs and Communications' News and Media Relations group, Strategic Content has ownership of the University's main owned media properties, including the home page (nd.edu), social media platforms, and several other websites and channels.
