Content Marketing Specialist

The Content Marketing Specialist will develop and implement optimized digital content to lead brand awareness, traffic and engagement that supports business development and revenue generation of e-commerce channels. We are looking for a person with previous digital marketing experience and will report to the Sr. Manager of Digital Commerce.
You Will:
- Develop knowledge of product performance, features, specs and accessories.
- Adapt copy and other content developed by Brand department to fit brand voice in the context of platform/marketplace with an emphasis on SEO.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Manager of Digital Commerce and E-Commerce Marketing Manager to write optimized copy for product listings on e-commerce platforms.
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop content ideas based on our priorities, opportunities and direction.
- Proofreads/edits content to ensure it is consistent regarding style/voice and best SEO practices.
- Collaborate with designers and other internal team members.
- Build item setup and content optimization for all items on Amazon, Walmart and other platforms according to SEO best practices and best seller ranking trends.
- Implement item setups and content submissions for e-commerce channels with assistance of sales and marketing managers.
- Audits existing e-commerce listings for accuracy and optimizes listing content with improved imagery and copy according to SEO best practices with the assistance of sales managers and brand creative group.
- Manage content production schedules, monitor the progress of content areas, uphold editorial standards, project requirements and deadlines.
- Work with product managers and brand creative group to assure that content is accurate and promotes objectives.
- Work with outside content providers to ensure efficient delivery of best content.
- Promote multiple, simultaneous content-related projects.
- Collaborate with Sr. Manager of Digital Commerce and E-Commerce Marketing Manager to update content guidelines.
- Seek information regarding online content trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and areas with competitive advantages.
- Responsible for maintenance of product review monitoring tool and new product e-commerce listings.
- Audits e-commerce listings for accurate review syndication.
- Manage review sampling programs and enrollments.
- Monitor EDLP violations weekly and report non-compliance to sales managers.
- Establish working relationships and coordination with Company personnel and management.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field. Other degrees combined with relevant experience will be considered.
- 1 year minimum in communications or marketing roles involving hands-on work is required.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of SEO principles.
- Proficiency in with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), required and Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Working knowledge of consumer products and services and the understanding of promotion and sales techniques.
- Knowledge of copywriting and fluency in multimedia and digital content production.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and e-commerce metrics.
- Familiarity with content management systems and e-commerce vendor portals.
- Clear understanding of strategic communication and marketing theory.
- Understanding of search engine optimization and user experience design concepts.
- Understanding of e-commerce channels and business strategy and a merchandising background preferably in an e-commerce related field.
- Can resource needs, communicate risks and meet deadlines.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis is required; employer sponsorship for employment-based visa status is not available for this position.
- This is not a remote position.
