Identifies and tracks metrics to measure the success of content curation efforts. Develops a schedule for updates, archiving, and ongoing production of content. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Content Specialist, Sr. occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The C&C Specialist is a highly organized leader who manages a diverse portfolio of divisional responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The Sr. Communications & Content Specialist is a creative thinker with strong judgment and a problem solver who uses various communication tactics to reach the target audience.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
    • Minimum three (3) years relevant experience (communications, copywriting, content management, business administration).
    • Experience managing and maintaining internal communication tools is a plus (internal email software, intranet, etc.)

     

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

    • May require evening and/or weekend work based on business needs.
    • Exceptional verbal/ written communication skills, strong grammar, and proofreading skills.
    • Proven ability to successfully develop and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
    • Proficiency in using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Familiarity with graphic design programs (Adobe, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, etc.) and video editing programs
    • Highly flexible and responsive to emergency/priority communications.
    • Excellent organization and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
    • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Proven interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at many levels and establish the trust necessary to influence and drive business decisions.
    • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple takes and priorities within specified timeframes. (Can work and prioritize without constant supervision)

    Essential Functions

    • Develop and execute internal and external communication strategies that position MasterCorp and leaders as experts in hospitality services.
    • Produce high-quality and engaging written content, including, but not limited to, internal communications (emails, text messages), newsletter articles, digital signage content, SharePoint, blog posts, press releases, website copy, social media posts, video scripts, article submissions, content for marketing materials (flyers, RFP’s, sell sheets, brochures, etc.), among others.
    • Develop high-quality communication support materials and change management tools using a variety of tactics (written communications, talking points, presentation materials, FAQs, video messages, etc.)
    • Support the creation of internal crisis communication plans and the development of tools that assist with the management of emergency preparedness.
    • Create and deliver internal communications content ensuring all Team Members are informed and kept up to date including crisis, immediate communications, organizational announcements, email, newsletters, intranet content, videos, town hall meetings, virtual gatherings, and presentations.
    • Create captivating and persuasive stories that resonate with target audiences, effectively conveying MasterCorp’s key messages and selling points.
    • Conduct interviews with executives, department heads, Associates, and partners to become subject matter expert of company operations and gather content that resonates with the target audience.
    • Work closely with leaders across business lines to develop and execute communications initiatives that engage, excite, and inspire; align teams; and shape culture.
    • Create and manage ongoing content calendar in partnership with key departments, to ensure messaging is timely, strategic, and delivered across channels to maximize visibility and adoption/engagement.
    • Develop channel strategy to maximize message visibility and avoid audience burnout.
    • Partner with internal key stakeholders across the organization to ensure all internal communications are aligned with business objectives and external communication strategy and support our Mission, Vision, Culture, and Values.
    • Incorporate SEO best practices and relevant keywords and stay current on strategies to ensure search engine-friendly content and improve organic visibility, in conjunction with Digital Marketing Specialist.
    • Maintain the brand's voice and tone across all written content, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
    • Review, proofread, and edit content for accuracy and clarity, maintaining high standards.
    • Research competitors, clients, and trends to develop content that aligns with audience needs and interests.
    • Request internal Associate, program, and business operations data to help develop campaigns and address specific target needs. (program enrollment, demographic data, business results, etc.)
    • Track and report on communication analytics to ensure content delivery, engagement, and maximization. (participation, open rates, clicks, views, opts-outs, etc.). Take necessary action based on the results.
    • Frequently request testimonials from Associates and customers to develop a database that adds credibility to communications and marketing materials.
    • Constantly look for platform and technology solutions to improve the delivery of internal communications.
    • Efficiently manage content using Monday.com.
    • Keeps abreast of developments in internal and external communications, as well as the field of Communications.
