Leads the research, coordination, and editorial work of curators and writers. Being a Content Manager - Web ensures that established branding and style guidelines are implemented correctly. Develops relationships with vendors and other sources needed to produce the quantity and quality of required content and negotiate terms and pricing. Additionally, Content Manager - Web designs methodologies used to analyze content consumption data and to define content needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Content Manager - Web manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Content Manager - Web typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Salary:             Range 72: $91,068 - $119,496 per year (DOQ).

    WASHINGTON STATE RESIDENCY AND TELEWORK INFORMATION

    Position may be eligible for hybrid working; a combination of telework and working in-office.

    • Develops and maintains code in an environment including Adobe ColdFusion, JAVA, JavaScript, Node.JS, Vue.JS, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, REST, SQL, Azure DevOps. 
    • Develops problem determination and resolution techniques and procedures.
    • Write, review and comment on functional and technical specifications. 
    • Unit test code using manual and automated test processes. 
    • Collaborate with the project team and other internal cross-teams for developing, testing and deploying code in support of various efforts. 
    • Prioritize work appropriately, carry out assignments with the appropriate level of direction. Complete tasks within deadlines. 
    • Oversees and mentors journey level staff and work products.
    • Monitors work progress, informing team leaders, team managers and/or customers of project status, problems or obstacles and workload problems in a timely manner.
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, computer science OR closely allied field; AND
    • Eight years of experience working in a complex information technology environment including direct experience with a major systems integration effort.

    A combination of education and experience demonstrating a working knowledge of the duties, responsibilities and competencies of the Senior System Integrator may substitute for qualifications listed.

     

    THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL ALSO HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Ability

    • Expert level skills in web application development including, JavaScript, Node.JS, Vue.JS, JSON and XML. 
    • Experience programming with SQL.
    • Experience developing web user interfaces which are standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible and adhere to accessibility guidelines
    • Strong grasp of security principles for web applications.
    • Interpersonal skills to work across boundaries and to establish and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers, customers and clients.
    • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to learn new concepts and skills, absorb and retain new information.
    • Knowledge of source control systems such as Git.

    Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Experience using VueJs or other frontend JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc).
    • Experience working with Visual Studio 
    • Ability to lead, coach and mentor lower level staff 
    • Working with Learning Management Systems such as SumTotal.
    • Experience with ColdFusion applications. 
    • Experience with Cloud services such as Azure, AWS or others.

    THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

    • Eight (8) or more years of HTML and JavaScript experience
    • Eight (8) or more years of systems or requirements analysis experience 
    • Five (5) or more years of Web Services Development.
    • Three (3) or more years of experience with SQL development (SQL programming, database design, stored procedures, etc.) 

    Also Desirable Are:  

    • Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards
