Contact Center Sales Coach jobs in Monterey, CA

Hana Gardens is hiring for a FULL-TIME sales position. We are an independent, full-service nursery & garden supply with two retail locations on the Monterey Peninsula.

Horticultural experience is a PLUS, but is not required to apply for this position. We will train the right candidate. We are looking for individuals that are passionate about the outdoors, plants/landscaping/gardening, and are looking to grow with our company.

Starting pay is commensurate with experience and/or educational qualifications.

This is a physically demanding job performed OUTDOORS. You MUST be comfortable performing moderate physical labor/lifting, getting dirty, doing gardening/landscaping type work, and working in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc). Please do not apply if you do not want to do any of the above!

Responsibilities for the position include:

• Assisting customers with purchases, plant selection, and sales
• Watering, feeding, spacing, pruning, and moving container-grown plant stock
• Learning about care requirements/characteristics of our plants
• Managing inventory, labelling, and restocking plants and products
• Maintaining a clean and well-organized nursery
• Performing other duties as required

We require:

• Weekend availability
• Must be able to lift 40 lb unaided
• Proven record of customer service experience and must LOVE working with people
• Must be a team player
• Reliable transportation and driver's license
• Efficient with computers and Microsoft programs, including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Confident math skills - must be able to do the following: calculate sales tax, convert given measurement units, calculate basic geometric equations, and perform cash drops

Education:

• HS degree required
• College degree or some educational credits preferred
