    Job Functions (Essential)
    1. Oversee, develop, coordinate, and implement quality control objectives and activities to resolve remanufacturing and overhaul product problems while maximizing product reliability and minimizing cost.
    2. Respond to remanufacturing production quality calls with immediate corrective action.
    3. Leverage experience to develop long-range countermeasures through root cause analysis.
    4. Make decisions on best way to process material and components based on condition found and received from the field of application and used components or engines.
    5. Lead corrective actions for customer complaints and on-site inspections.
    6. Provide accurate and timely data and summaries to management regarding quality concerns.
    7. Design and implement control plans, inspection plans and measuring equipment for quality control initiatives.
    8. Select and procure gauges and measuring equipment for quality control initiatives.
    9. Perform tool, machine and gauge capability studies.
    10. Participate in product launches, prepare PPAP's, first article of inspections, FMEA and develop quality key characteristics.
    11. Support the design of new processes and procedures for remanufacturing and overhaul processes with focus on quality control.
    12. Lead change and coordinate problem solving efforts with respective personal.
    13. Design and implement statistical process control programs for inspection purposes.
    14. Write and distribute quality data reports.
    15. Implement and continuously improve our processes and embed them in our management system triO
    16. Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
    17. Supports, encourages, and models the principles defined by the MTU/Rolls-Royce "High Performance Culture" platform
    18. Performs special projects as required.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
    Required:
    1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering and 5 years of experience related to mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or quality engineering with internal combustion engines; or 9 years of experience related to mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or quality engineering with internal combustion engines.
    2. Excellent knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of remanufactured components and assemblies
    3. Excellent knowledge of quality control, raw materials, manufacturing processes, costs and other quality techniques for maximizing the effective production or remanufacturing components and assemblies
    4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, where problems are complex.
    5. Strong knowledge of calibration processes, GD&T and metrology
    6. Strong ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
    7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others inside and outside department
    8. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, and materials
    9. Strong oral and written communication skills
    10. Good presentation skills
    11. Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture.

    Preferred:
    1. Hands on experience with MTU diesel engines
    2. Working knowledge of gauges, test equipment and quality improvement tools
    3. Completion of recommended company-training programs
    4. Knowledge of job-related product information
    5. Understanding of ISO/QS-9000 requirements
    6. Knowledge of SAP

    This position has compressed work schedule to align with production (Monday through Friday).

    While performing tasks for this position, the employee is regularly requested to perform work on a computer inside and occasionally outside of the work environment. Also, the employee will occasionally be required to work in environmental conditions where there are fumes and dust. Finally, the employee will be frequently requested to perform tasks in environmental conditions where there are unpleasant odors and gases. Please note, the conditions can be hazardous.


    While performing physical demands of the position, occasionally the employee will be occasionally requested to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and squat. Also, the employee will be regularly requested to sit within a particular work environment. Next, the employee will frequently be requested to walk inside and outside the work environment. Finally, an employee will be regularly requested to grasp and manipulate items in a maneuverable manner to perform daily tasks.
