POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Early Learning Centers, the Site Director is responsible for managing the site budget, member enrollment, and personnel, and for development of enriching programs for the members in accordance with state requirements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

College degree in Child Development or a related field, or dual-CDAs required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an early learning/preschool environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience managing employees highly preferred.
-
Knowledgeable concerning NAEYC requirements.
-
Experience with Brightwheel strongly preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-
Ensure that all direct reports are trained in all policies and procedures required for licensure and QRIS quality control.
-
Interview and select candidates for positions that directly report to the Site Director.
-
Manage all administration of direct reports, including timecards, PTO requests, and performance.
-
Coach and motivate direct reports to support employee engagement and retention efforts, and to increase student learning.
-
Support development of direct reports, as needed.
-
Address all staff conflicts, seeking assistance from admin or HR as needed.
-
Assist with interviewing and selecting other site personnel.
-
Ensure all staff are regularly recognized for outstanding work in any performance area via performance reviews and BGCTM and ELC recognition programs.
-
Develop curriculum and programs in accordance with the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows guidelines, ELC guidelines, and the State of Nevada requirements.

Ensure that each staff is provided with tools and instruction to complete mandatory training and that all records are maintained in accordance with state requirements.

Interact with the children and encourage their involvement in activities.

Staff classrooms as needed.

Exemplify teamwork by being first responding to respond to codes whenever possible.

Provide a safe environment that is orderly and clean and one that promotes an environment in which to grow and explore.

Observe, record, and report significant individual and group behavior.
-
Provide oversight to staff regarding appropriate and positive discipline measures, consistent with Conscious Discipline and the Pyramid Model for Social and Emotional Learning.

Develop programs and ensure that goals are updated frequently and accomplished.

Plan and direct monthly staff meetings.

Prepare and manage the site budget.
-
Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the Operations Director and Executive Director.

Provide reports, staff time records/corrections and all other reports/documents as requested.
-
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with community partners, staff members, and parents by consistently demonstrating GREAT values.

Use words and body language that show compassion for each child’s and family’s unique circumstances.

Participate in special programs and events.
-
Drive Club vehicles as needed.

Other duties as assigned or required for the position.

Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly desired.
CERTIFICATION/ASSOCIATION:
-
Proof of a negative tuberculosis test.

Memorandum of Eligibility through Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.

After hire, will receive mandatory paid on-line and in-person training, including Safety Skills, CPR/First Aid, etc.

Must complete the following core courses within 90 days of employment and renew them according to Licensing Requirements.
