Role and Responsibilities
A processing lead is responsible for leading and managing process improvement initiatives across the company. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Process Area Lead directs the Yard Driver, Peeler Operator, Trim Table, Cutter Deck Operator, Key Sorter Operator, Blancher/Dryer Operator, Batter/Fryer Operator, Dry Receiver, and other personnel as required.
· They oversee the operational processes of an organization to support business functions and client requirements.
· They are responsible for developing, maintaining, and operating materials and products in the manufacturing process.
· They are responsible for the quality of the deliverables that are produced by their team.
· The job may involve producing a Service Management Action Plan, providing updates for project schedule, analyzing measurement data during validation, and defining actions for process improvement.
· Champions a safe and healthy work environment essential to the proper functioning of the operation in compliance with Cardinal Foods LLC.
· Identifies and creates opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Expects compliance with all quality and FDA guidelines in all phases of operation through direct involvement with staff and other departments in the planning, implementing, and maintenance of SOPs consistent with GMP regulations.
· Assure that all paperwork is gathered and reported correctly daily.
· Monitor employee activity, including scheduling of breaks and to keep the production lines producing at maximum speed and yield while maintaining the product quality specifications throughout the shift.
· Providing guidance and training to team members so they can develop their skills and perform their job effectively.
· Evaluating the effectiveness of processes to determine opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must be qualified/certified to operate a forklift. Prior raw food handling and processing experience is desired.
Preferred Skills
Experience operating various materials handling equipment is desired.
