Responsibilities

This is a in office position.

Payment Poster Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure all live checks, electronic remittance advice (ERA), electronic funds transfers (EFT) and zeropay explanation of benefits (EOB) are accurately applied to the patient accounts.• Responsible for entering charges for medical record invoices and payments.• Responsible for entering daily charges and payments for FAST, Massage and Aftercare.• Verify and balance dollars posted to accounts for accuracy, making corrections as necessary.• Audit accounts for adjustments to ensure accuracy.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills dealing with a diverse range of people andpersonalities.• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.• Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety ofsituations.

Payment Poster Knowledge of insurance guidelines:

• Ability to act with integrity in regard to all matters of confidentiality.• Proficient and skilled at 10 key• Ability to read and understand insurance explanation of benefits for accurate posting to patientaccounts• Ability to understand daily and weekly balancing• Excellent customer service skills.• Self-motivated and attention to detail• Capacity to work under pressure

Qualifications

QualificationsMinimum Education/Experience• High School diploma or equivalent• Minimum two (2) years of medical billing experience• Efficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
