    Overview of position - Processing Department
    Assist in various back office administrative functions. Work with multiple collection platforms to post payments and process correspondence. Handling high volume mail intake daily to ensure all is processed in a timely and compliant fashion. Maintain efficiency in repetitive tasks on daily basis. Continuous updating of processing department 'Statement of Processes' to ensure we are maintaining an error free environment.

     
    Target Hire Date: October 2nd, 2023
    Required work schedule is: ONSITE Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
    Paid Training is: ONSITE Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

     
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Look up payments and correspondence to identify account numbers for processing
    • Batch and post payments to multiple collection systems
    • Balance payment batches
    • Create, validate & log bank deposits
    • Scan payment deposits into remote deposit scanner
    • Handle payment reversals
    • Ensure that all required departmental logs are updated daily
    • Payment and Correspondence investigation
    • Responsible in completing all postings by end of day
    • Validate client and internal reports
    • Implement new client specific procedures and update the SOP
    • Follow internal and external escalation procedures
    • Scanning, printing and mailing of correspondence
    • Present process improvement ideas to management
    • Complete daily production sheets and other paperwork as required
    • Flexible schedule when required and for escalated issues
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Pick up courier delivered mail daily
    • Pick up street mail daily
    • Pick up various FedEx & UPS mail daily
     
    Qualifications:
    • Payment processing or banking experience preferred
    • Software capable: Excel, MS Office
    • 10 key calculator
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge
    • Basic computer skills
    • Solid work history
     
     
    Education Requirements: 
    High school diploma, G.E.D., Trade/Vocational School certificate or equivalent required.
     
     
     
    Physical Requirements:
    Occasionally exert up to 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects. Have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data; and/or viewing a computer terminal. Speak, listen, type and/or sit for extended periods of time.
