Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor jobs in Pawtucket, RI

Ocean State Credit Union is seeking a Loan Servicing Clerk to join our team to provide loan servicing functions including loan research and other duties in support of the Loan Servicing Department:

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handles the quality control, post-closing, for all first mortgage and construction mortgage products.
• Working closely with our servicer to assist in corrections of any errors, following quality control, of all types of mortgages. This may include working with closing attorneys, the mortgage department, and our servicer.
• Assist in Construction conversions, modifications, escrow inquiries and any other issues as needed.
• Reviewing loan and mortgage accounts inquiries with members. Acting as a liaison between our mortgage servicer to rectify an issue, if required.
• Reviewing and verifying loan information. Following up with attorneys or other agents as required.
• Quality control of mortgages and loans
• Follow up on missing required documentation
• Quoting and processing payoffs for all loan types
• Assuring compliance with all state and federal regulations for both mortgages and indirect lending is crucial in this role
• Scan all necessary documents, participate in a rotating phone schedule
• Cross training for both mortgage servicing and loan servicing is required\
• Perform related and unrelated duties as necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Six months to one year of experience in office environment with loans experience preferred
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
• Must be detail oriented, work in a fast paced environment and adhere to deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position requires sitting for long periods of time and working primarily at a workstation or desk in an open office environment. Daily tasks include extensive use of a computer performing standard keyboard functions, requiring repeated motion, as well as extensive use of the phone. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
