Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor supervises the daily activities of a loan servicing team. Oversees and coordinates processing and documenting loan transactions, insurance, and tax bills, and performing escrow analysis. Being a Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor ensures that loan transaction files are accurate and complete, and that staff complies with appropriate procedures, regulations, and guidelines. Performs quality checks and resolves issues. Additionally, Consumer Loan Servicing Supervisor monitors workload and allocates resources to meet production goals. Coaches and trains team. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a senior manager or head of a unit/department. Responsible for all phases of the collection process to preserve the Credit Union's assets by monitoring overdrawn, delinquent, and charged-off accounts, collecting payments and recovering collateral in a timely manner to minimize losses. Project a friendly and professional attitude while assisting members with servicing existing loans and supporting the consumer loan team to help originate new loans. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Position requires extensive contact with members and the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision.
Job Skills / RequirementsMajor Duties & Responsibilites:
Perform a variety of collection duties including but not limited to:
Respond to members’ existing loan questions via phone, email, text, and fax promptly. Complete basic loan servicing operations including but not limited to: balance inquires, loan payments, changing payment frequencies and auto payments, and answering ancillary product questions.
Provide sales support to the loan origination team including: obtain verification documents, save documents into document imaging system, and assist members to electronically sign their documents.
Ensure liens are perfected on collateral securing a loan. Contact dealers and finance companies to obtain appropriate paperwork and coordinate with the member, as needed, to finalize our lien status.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
