POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing support for consumer lending activities. Represents the Credit Union in a professional manner, on the phone and in person, assisting and referring members as necessary. Actively promotes the credit union’s full line of products and services. Provides and promotes the credit union’s service standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Assumes responsibility for providing effective support for consumer lending activities.
- Assists with consumer loan processing and trailing documents.
- Assists the consumer lending team in funding loans and preparing closing documents. Ensures that the accuracy and timeliness are completed accurately and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Completes a quality control of recently closed consumer loans to ensure all documents are imaged, signatures are verified, the loan is setup correctly in the system, and exceptions are documented correctly.
- Assists with internal and external audits as needed.
- Assists with the insurance verification by providing auto loan insurance documents to our insurance vendor.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional business relationships with members and vendors.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and communication with Credit Union employees
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- A high school education or GED.
Required Knowledge:
- Understanding of consumer loan processing functions.
- Knowledge of consumer lending related requirements, procedures, and underwriting criteria.
- Ability to collect and analyze data.
Experience Required:
- Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Interpersonal skills:
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
- Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
- Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
- Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Skills/Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Must have knowledge of fundamental lending concepts and practices.
- Good basic math skills.
- Able to use related computer applications such as Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills.

Work Schedule: Mon – Friday 8 – 5 and/or 9-6 Rotation. Sat – 9–1 Rotation
