Position Summary

The Real Estate Loan Processor will receive and process loan applications. Serve as liaison between Loan Department and customers to provide superior customer service.

You will be doing whatever tasks are assigned to help with the processing of loans. Comply with all legal and regulatory guidelines related to the loan industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

• Answer incoming phone calls and take care of customer questions and needs
• Assuring customer service is top priority whether internally or externally; treating customers and employees professionally, with courtesy and respect
• Processing applications from all sources, (e.g., internet, fax, mail, email, and walk-ins)
• Following-up with customers regarding loan status, pre-approval, qualification status, and counteroffers; following-up on pending Loan Department paperwork
• Assisting loan officers as needed
• Actively selling and promoting Cornerstone's full line of services and products
• Complete required BSA training and other compliance training as assigned
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Minimum three year specialized schooling / or job experience, preferably in a banking environment
• Must possess excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have a proactive attitude toward supervisors, co-workers, and the Company
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including, but not limited to : Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with limited supervision, exercising own initiative and judgment
