    Position Description:

    Under general supervision of the Vice President – Retail Lending, performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties surrounding the processing of mortgage and home equity applications, initial loan disclosures, and ordering of title and appraisal of the Bank’s mortgage and consumer loan products and services. Oversight of compliance for all mortgage, consumer, and home equity loan products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the initial review, processing, and disclosing of mortgage and consumer loan products including, but not limited to: residential mortgages, home equity loans, home equity lines of credit, personal unsecured loans, Mass Save HEAT loans, auto loans, passbook loans, etc.
    • Issues initial loan disclosures in a timely fashion.
    • Works closely with loan officer/branch manager to acquire all needed information and coordinates communication with loan officers and applicants regarding loan decisions.
    • Manages pipeline, including tracking key dates such as the Settlement/Closing Date, Mortgage Financing Contingency Date and Rate Lock Expiration Date for purchase transactions.
    • Orders title services from the Bank’s approved list of closing attorneys.
    • Responsible for ordering and tracking appraisals within appropriate timeframes.
    • Tracks loan commitment conditions during the underwriting process.
    • Assists Loan Closer with the coordination of timely loan closings.
    • Serves as backup to the Loan Closer role as needed.
    • Helps prepare and QC closing disclosures and closing packages.
    • Conducts initial review of all canceled/denied mortgage and home equity loans for HMDA reporting and compliance. Completes HMDA worksheet for review by VP Retail Lending.
    • Responsible for uploading and indexing all originated and non-originated loans including consumer loans into Identifi and certifying all required documents are included and legible.
    • Proper use and maintenance of our electronic documents storage system, Identifi.
    • Performs related work as required.

    Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • College course work in the fields of accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
    • Sound knowledge of State and Federal banking regulations.
    • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements.
    • Thorough understanding of mortgage loan products.
    • Thorough understanding of Bank’s Retail Lending products, programs, and fee structures.
    • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office programs.
    • Must have the ability to analyze and evaluate special circumstances and make appropriate decisions according to operating policies and procedures.
