Consumer Loan Collector contacts customers who are delinquent in the repayment of their loans and obtains payments, commitment agreements or establishes a repayment plan. Follows set policies and procedures when determining suitable collection solution. Being a Consumer Loan Collector requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Consumer Loan Collector may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. JOB SUMMARY: Process loan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct loan interviews.
Cross sell Credit Union products and services.
Assist in developing loan marketing programs.
Market and cross-selling Credit Union products and services to members.
Determine credit-worthiness of prospective borrowers.
Processing loan requests including credit background reference checking.
Conduct consumer loan education member seminars.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience should include a minimum of three (3) years of consumer lending in a credit union or banking environment.
Secured or unsecured, real estate equity line of credit (HELOC) and
automotive loan experience required.Complete knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of Reliance a plus.
Salary commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit program.
