As a CMI Manager you will lead market research projects and build consumer understanding for your categories and clients. You will provide comprehensive analysis of consumer behaviors and preferences to support development and sales goals in what is a very creative industry. You will become a category expert and have the opportunity to share your knowledge with our clients. It could well be your perfect opportunity if you have a true experience with fragrances and are energized by drawing meaningful conclusions from large datasets. Located in our East Hanover, NJ location and reporting to the Category Director.
You will:
- Lead market research for regional or cross regional projects by applying the appropriate qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to meet the project goals.
- Be a CMI Business Partner for internal colleagues, working on projects throughout the fragrance development cycle, providing in-depth interpretation of results to guide fragrance development and to help to build rationale to support our submissions
- Work with category teams to identify gaps in knowledge and to develop and test hypotheses relating to insights into consumer behavior, to provide new ideas to feed the development process
- Recommend the appropriate methodologies to answer the teams’ questions, define the projects’ CMI strategies and share the results in a concise and engaging way
- Support sales and development teams as market research expert in direct contact with clients.
- Negotiate cost
- Lead the management and quality control of the agencies
- Manage Data Analysis
- Ensure CMI data is stored centrally and accessible for future reference

Your professional profile includes:
- University Degree/ Masters Degree (Marketing, Data Analysis, Statistic, Science)
- 7 years of experience in market research
- Proficiency in using common PC applications, including data analysis software
- Understanding of statistics - in-depth understanding of inferential and multivariate statistics and experimental design.
- Demonstrate competent knowledge and use of qualitative and quantitative methodologies (protocols, designs, questionnaires)
- Expertise in analyzing large datasets and drawing strategic conclusions and possible effects
- Familiar with data reduction, consumer segmentation and driver analysis techniques to interrogate data from different perspectives, to develop hypotheses for fragrance development and arguments to support submissions
- Proficient in use of statistical software for analysis of research data (in locations where this is done in-house)
