Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Supervisor provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Consumer Credit Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Under direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) II, the Business Service Officer (BSO) II (Supervisor), plans, supervises, and directs the activities of the Operational Resources Unit, which is comprised of the Mail Operations and Distribution Services (MODS) team, the Records Imaging Services (RIS) team, and Cashier Courier Services (CCS) team. The BSO II (Supervisor) performs the most sensitive and complex duties associated with the unit and supervises staff that provide essential services relating to the Department’s business services related needs.

The Business Services Officer oversees all purchasing areas within the DCA for approximately 38 Boards, Bureaus, Committees, Divisions and Programs. The DCA mission is to promote and protect the interests of California consumers. The BSO supports numerous DCA programs who license and regulate various industries throughout the State of California.     Special Requirements

    This position is subject to Title 16, section 3830 of the California Code of Regulations, the Department of Consumer Affairs’ Conflict of Interest (COI) Regulations. The incumbent is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving office.
