Consumer Credit Supervisor supervises underwriting operations and oversees the loan application review process to determine loan eligibility and terms. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the underwriting team to ensure that loan screening is conducted timely, accurately, and in compliance with all regulations. Being a Consumer Credit Supervisor provides loan options or product recommendations based on qualifications and keeps the team updated and informed of new products, regulations, or product changes. Assists customers through the loan process by researching and answering complex or unique customer inquiries, clarifying details, and coordinating with internal parties. Additionally, Consumer Credit Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Primary Functions: Underwrite consumer loan requests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: N/A
Experience/Skills: One-year experience with this credit union in a problem-solving capacity, or underwriting consumer loans, which routinely calls for independent decision making in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Must have knowledge of all consumer lending regulations. Must have ability to adapt to a variety of situations, processing a high volume of work with attention to detail. Must have ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically.
Tenure: Consumer Lending Credit Analyst I, II, III and Senior, Category 12, 11, 10 and 9, respectively, requires meeting proven acceptable performance standards as established by management. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training completion may be substituted for tenure.
Consumer Lending Credit Analyst Trainee (Category 13)
Salary Pay Range: $44,803 - $66,309 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
