We are currently seeking a Collector for a credit union located in Torrance, CA!

Type: Full-time, temporary with a possibility of temp-to-hire (for the right candidate)

Pay: $25-27/hr

Branch hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm or a shift close to that

Responsibilities:

• Making collections calls
• Composing sending and following up on collections letters
• Negotiate with debtor and debtor representation
• Completes collections related tasks: Review and correct and update and response to credit disputes chex systems update, locate skipped debtors collateral tracking
• Performs analysis of delinquent loans and overdrawn shares trends identify key issues and solutions to help reduce loan and overdrawn shares losses.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years’ of collections experience within a credit union or bank
• Excellent communications skills with demonstrated ability to correspond with all levels of staff, members, and public.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work well under pressure and organize work to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday

• Bankruptcy: 1 year (Preferred)
• Foreclosures: 1 year (Preferred)
